We made it to Memphis! As i write this my little traveller is fast asleep next to me. He has been such a good boy for the most part. He has had his moments. He has watched a lot of parts of movies and has played letters, markers, and all sorts of other stuff, i am running out of stuff for him to do in the car! But we are hitting up some gift shops tomorrow at Graceland! =) and the Children's Museum i do believe. I thinking i am buying a family membership for the year there. Its only $75.00 and it gets me into the Duluth, and St Paul children's museums for free. One in Gulf Shores too. We have been talking about going there next week.
Yesterday we drove to Stout to get Emily, had college food for lunch, some Spudniks(yummy potato doughnut holes from a place in Chetek), and were on our way again. We of course had to stop in Mauston for some super fresh and squeaky Cheese Curds. We drove until Springfield, IL and had dinner at a Smokey Bones. We have eaten there before. Its good! Hayden and i are sharing food for this trip. My way of saving money and eating less. Portion control! So far so good. I am also only drinking water and coffee. Today i was evil eyeing my brothers Dr pepper it looked really good! We stayed the night in Festus MO. Last night. We didn't get in until 11ish. So it was a quick stay. We woke up and hit the road this morning around 9 i think. We ate an early but very cool lunch at Lamberts. Home of the Throwed Rolls. They sit you down and throw rolls to people who want them. They also have "free" sides that we can get with your HUGE meals. Hayden and i shared Roast Beef dinner. It came with mashed potatos and your choice of sides plus the rolls and the free sides. The food was good homecookin'. They also give you HUGE plastic travel mugs with your drink in it. Pretty cool place. I would highly recommend it to anyone going through Missouri. We got into Memphis around 2 and went to the Pink Palace. It was the founder of Piggly Wiggly's mansion. Built in 1926 but never finished due to the Great Depression. The city received the house that nobody never finished or lived in and turned it into a museum. They had all sorts of stuff. Ranging from Dinosaurs, to butterflies, to mini circus, civil war artifacts, and shrunken heads. I have a picture of Hayden saying "Shrunken Head". Ahhh Mommies! It was neat. We actually had our picture taken in front before on our way home from New Orleans when Hayden was 3 months old. Okay i am off for the night! Daddy if you read this we love you and miss you!

Whats a day in the life of the "Superior Smith's"? Well let's find out!

7:25. Hayden comes into bed with us/Mommy. Wants to watch Caillou. Caillou ends at 7:30. Yikes. Whats a Mommy to do? Distract with Barney, which is on next. Not good enough but will do if Mommy gets up and gets him milk.

7:40. Mommy makes a BIG pot of coffee to get through the day. Mommy will refer to this pot of Coffee at least 3 more times in this day!

7:45. Mommy gets up and leaves Hayden be until he either calls for her or comes into the living room. Just like his Daddy, Hayden needs a little time to be before he can start the day. Mommy turns on her computer and the Today Show.

8:00. Yummm Coffee is ready. Mommy is alive due to the coffee. Hayden wants to know whats on next. Sesame Street. Its either a okay i'll watch or i don't like that show, and if that happens its time to play.

8:00-10:00. Shower, Get Dressed, Eat Breakfast, Relax, Drink Coffee. This is the Zen time. We do what moves us at that moment until...

10:30. Mommy goes in Panic mode with Hayden is going to Angie's. We need to get a move on!

10:55. In the car on the way to Angies. Okay, now we are too early. Stop and see Daddy at work!

11:15-5:00. Mommy goes to work. Hayden is at one of his many places he goes during the day. Either home with Daddy or Babysitter Emily My Friend Ben's Mom, Papa Smith, Angie, or the occasional Papa Moe. No wonder the kid wakes up every morning and asks "where do i go today and where do you go?"

5:00. After picking up Hayden and Brandon we are finally home. Mommy needs a minute. Okay Dragontales is on in a half hour. Keep him happy until then. Which isn't always easy as Hayden has a crabby time between 5:00 and 7:30 most days.

5:30. Okay we survived the witching hour(half hour!). Dragon Tales. Mommy checks her email and we wait for Daddy.

6:00ish. Daddy gets home. Hayden asks his daily questions. "Daddy you're home!" "I missed You!" "How was work, was it busy? Lots of Peoples?"

6:30. Hmmmm Daddy is STILL in the bathroom. We are hungry. Daddy hurry up. We want to eat. We decide what to eat for supper. Hayden what do you want? Pizza. Okay how about fill in favorite restaurant here instead. We do eat at home like 3 times a week! At least. Monday and Wednesday nights a booked out weekly!

7:30-8:30. Mommy and Daddy drive around to see if maybe Hayden will fall asleep. Oh good he does! Mommy and Daddy get to actually spend time together. Computer. Wii. Movie. Tv. Hmm. Board game? Such Decisions to make!

10:00. Mommy and Daddy are pooped! Its a long day with a three year old. Time to wach our nightly bedtime show, Gilmore Girls.

10:01. Mommy and Daddy are asleep!

Seriously like that schedule would actually happen to the time! But basically thats how our day goes. Its nice to get into a routine. When i was a kid, Jason too!, we thought it was evil how our friends parents made their kids go to bed so easy when our parents let us stay up later. Both of ours was around 9-10. But we so understand why parents put their kids to sleep so early. Its the only chance of spending ten minutes together.

In other Smith family news we have started a fun new project. Cleaning the basement. Yuck. I have SO much stuff! I have baby stuff up the ying yang. If you know anyone who may need a crib, pack and play, bouncy chair, toys, stroller or clothes please let me know. I have doubles of stuff and we are trying to condense down. I would love to help someone in need of stuff! But its fun because Hayden has been such a good boy lately we can bring him down stairs and he plays while we work. He loves to play pool! And he has found the stash of toys i randomly sneak down from his home to the basement, so he has a ton of toys to play with down there. We are also going to go buy those big foam puzzle piece shaped mats to put on the basement floor in one part of the basement and set up his play gym so he can slide and what.

Random Thoughts!
Its almost Spring Break time. Yeah! Warmth, i hope.
Hayden is a major goofball lately!
He is very affectionate with objects. Baby Jaguar. Dinosaur.
Jason's birthday is at the end of the month! A whole quarter of a century this year!
I think i am going to have to break down and let Jason buy a new car, for my sanity.
And a plasma tv.
And a laptop.
Jason needs a second job to pay for all his future purchases.
Lets all think and pray at once that Spring comes, fast.

New Hair Do?

This picture is from Nic*ole Marie's Website. Check her out. She is amazing and wonderful. She did Hayden's pictures July 2006. But i really really like this little boy's hair. I want Hayden's hair to look like this! Any thoughts??
