Very Cute Pics!

Our Beautiful Jessica

Here Hayden you look very thirsty!

Papa, Buy this for me. I'm VERY cute!

Jess, Are you there? I don't have very good reception

in here. Hello? I can't hear you. Oh wait, now i can, what

were you saying, something about Elmo Live in Concert?

Lots of Fun!

Wow! What a great couple of days we have had. Busy. Brainerd was great! The drive home was even good. I was worried, but Hayden slept and then just played with Elmo. Christmas with the Sandmon's was very very nice. Jessica was a blast. How she gets so cute I don't know. I just saw her! and she still is cuter than the last time. Those two were so much fun today. They played and played. The best was right when we wanted to leave. They were jumping and copying each other. Being total Hams. Then Jessica was pushing Hayden on her little bike. Everyone was laughing so hard at them. Crazy goons! Hayden was so pooped out he fell right asleep! He was sleeping in his new hat from the Schouvillers! The night was perfect, we even got some of Grandma's Hot Fudge! Its the best!
We woke up today, (not so early for Nana!) Then we woke Emily up and went Hot Tubbing! Thats all Hayden wanted. Until he saw the game corner. He was playing pool with the cue ball and all was good until he pitched it across the pool area! Oops. We didn't play with it after that. We hit the road early then i was going to but that was good! We stopped and grabbed a Latte for Mommy and a milk for Hayden, we shared a yummy biscotti too! And off we went! He was so excited when we got home, he saw his choo choo's and thats all he wanted to do! Well we had an awesome day! Hope yours was great too! I'll post lots of pictures tomorrow! Happy New Year

My skater boy

Auntie Em took this picture! I love it!!! We had lots of fun today! We did lots. This is Hayden at the ice skating rink. I didn't get skates on him but he did go on the ice with his boots. I had him all bundled up for the first time in everything! He did good. Brandon went on some Kitty Kats that you can rent, boy did someone get jealous. He told Papa "My Turn" about a thousand times and looked over where they were sitting. Broke our heart! Papa did let him sit on them! I have pictures that i will upload soon! We went swimming too! and to town. We squeezed a little Elmo in too so Mom could take a little rest! It was sad that our fav restaurant in town was closed. Its called the Barn. If you are ever in Brainerd go there! They have all homemade pies, great soup, and Maid Rite sandwiches. Yum yum! Even Jason liked them. Well were are off tomorrow to Christmas with the Sandmon's tomorrow. Wish us a good trip home, its just the two of us! Happy New Year too!

Here we are in Brainerd. We are staying at Craguns. We love it here, even in the winter! We brought our little Water Baby swimming right away. He loves the water. He is a natural born swimmer. He slept pretty good too! He kicked Emily out of bed with us in the middle of the night. That's okay by me! Emily, Brandon and I went ice skating last night, and had a lot fun being goofy. I want to get Hayden out on the ice sometime this winter, i was two the first time i skated! Well it's snowing here! Hopefully not too much, but i would really really like to push it over to Superior. We need snow at home! Have a great day and fabulous weekend.

Hayden sharing his Choo-Choo Train. Jess likes
Trains too!

Ahhhhh Big Hug! Lots of Love for Jessica.

Hugging! But oops, we fell over.

We got a super cool surprise today. Guess who stopped by this afternoon. Jessica! We were so

excited. Hayden was telling me today that he wanted "Jess to come to Hayden's House". He is psychic or something. They played VERY well. Hayden was a little cranky, because he had just woke up from his nap, but oh well! Lisa, Jessica LOVED the Mr Potato Head! Birthday present! I love to shop for Jessica. I don't know any other little girls, so if i find something I love she gets it. So she was at the house and i just happened to have a gift lying around so i gave it to her. I thought it was the perfect Jessica gift, because she is our little mommy. She loves dolls, and bags, and helping us all! But i found her a Fisher Price Little Mommy diaper bag. With diaper, cell phone(every little mommy needs one), Baby toys, lotion, a bottle, and the best powder. Jessica loves powder! When you tip it over white stuff comes out the top(hard plastic, doesn't fall all the way out) I loved it, so she got it! It was a short little visit, but well loved! Grandma and Jessica were off to see Auntie Renee!(Hi, Renee) We can't wait until Saturday to see her again!

Hayden's 2!!! Yeah 2!!!

My baby is two. I can't believe it, it really can't be possible. To me he is my baby, but to the rest of the world he is a little boy, and a toddler. Where does the time go? I was telling Jason that I never want to have more kids, because I want Hayden to always be my baby! But anyways , I am done pouting. We had the most wonderful Christmas(es), and Birthday. Hayden was EXCELLENT, all day long. I don't think he cried once all day long. We woke up at 6:00, Mommy was a little excited too, so when Hayden woke up I really didn't let him go back to sleep. He woke up with a big smile on his face, as i told him "Happy Birthday". Then we talked about Christmas and Santa(Tanta). Then the big moment, he remembered Tanta had come and was suppose to bring him a choo-choo train. Good thing that Tanta was on top of things! Hayden woke up to his BIG Train table. After 10-20 minutes playing with that, we finally got him to open some presents. He loved his stocking, Tanta also brought him "Nacks" in his stocking.(A whole box of Fruit Snacks, Target Brand Multi Fruit are his favorites, not Elmo, Scooby-Doo, or Gushers, my son likes the Target Brand!) He likes his new boots too. Hayden loves boots, and I really don't know why. Then it was off to my moms.

Stop #1: Moe Family House. 8:30 am. Open presents. Then we opened more presents, and then more! We all received very very nice items. Ranging from Mission Paintball(Jason's), New Jacket(Kasie's), and another train set(Hayden's). Lots in between too. Brandon was given Guitar Hero from Santa, a big hit with Brandon and Jason! My husband is a BIG kid at heart! That's why I love him.

12:00 pm. My mom made us a HUGE lunch. All Italian food. It was super. Olive Garden has nothing on her. We have discovered a great market/restaurant in Duluth, the Italian Village. She made an awesome Salad, 2 lasagnas(spinach and meat), penne, meatballs, sausage, Ravioli, Sauce, Garlic bread, and wine. It was so good. Thanks Mom!

1:15 pm. Stop #2. Mike and RaeAnn's. Same thing pretty much. Lots and lots of presents, and great food. The whole Smith family came over at 3:00. It was nice to see everyone and wish them a Merry Christmas, and Happy Hayden Birthday. Hayden of course got lots of nice things. Gram Smith gave him super nice jammies and ELMO dvds. We had a very lovely time out there. I didn't think i could eat one more bit there everything was excellent. We all sang Happy Birthday to Hayden and he loved it. It's what made his day i think! I'll just sing Happy Birthday everyday to keep him happy. We relaxed a bit with a yummy Tom and Jerry's before heading out.

6:30 Stop #3. Mum Moe's House. Food, Food, Food. More eating! Ahhh. Tradition is to go there and watch old videos. We didn't pull out the super old ones but we watch when all the kids were young. They all seemed to enjoy seeing that. I of course was silly on every tape since i loved being the center of attention. Hayden played with his favorite big cousin, Kaitlin or Katie Kate. She takes very good care of him, and he can never get enough of her. It was a quick visit but relaxing! I think all the kids were worn out!

9:00 pm. Home. Finally. Hayden played Choo-Choo, bathed, and went to bed!!!! Opened a few more presents from Jas and I too! We had a great day! Thanks to everyone for making it so special. It really means a lot to us. Before you take your tree down, remember how long you've had it up. What's the rush? The Christmas season doesn't stop at Christmas Day. Don't pull the plug yet. Enjoy the rest of season, without the rush and worry. Stop and remember what its all about! Merry Christmas to all!
Pictures to come tomorrow!

Hayden's Turn

Most of you know that yesterday was my birthday. Hayden woke up and said "Happy Mama Birthday!" So cute i know! But today we were driving and I said "Do you know whose birthday its going to be in a couple days?" He of course said "Mama's Birthday!" I told him no not Mama's birthday, its going to be Hayden's birthday. He responded to this with "Hayden's turn birthday!" But we have had a lot of birthdays this last month, the poor kid has had it, its Hayden's Turn! Only 3 more days until its Hayden's Turn!
Merry Christmas!

Hayden's First Birthday!

****Happy Birthday Hayden! Leave Hayden your birthday wishes, post a comment

Gingerbread, Presents, and Bowling

Hayden and Nana on Saturday. Grandpa and Grandma Routh gave each of the kids a gift. It was very nice. Each kid got something they really seemed to like. Good shopping guys! Hayden LOVES his. He got a Little People's garage/carwash. It was a gas pump and he likes to give all of his Little People's cars some gas, like Daddy does to Mommy's car.

On Sunday we went to Jason's work christmas party at Landmark Lanes. Hayden was so cute. He has gone bowling a few times before, but he used a ramp? to help roll the ball down he lane. He ended up getting 70-80 both games! Daddy of course did really well too! He kicks butt at bowling.

At our Routh's Christmas party, all the kids got little gingerbread men to decorate. Hayden didn't decorate it until monday. I took a few pictures. He did discover about half way through that the frosting taste REALLY good and then just kept licking his fingers!

Well not much has happened this week! Oh on monday Mike, Rae Ann, Laura, and Michael gave me a surprise birthday party. It was very nice. We had a very nice dinner and a very yummy cake. Hayden even told me Happy Birthday a few times. Thanks again for the nice gifts. I also put a new option on our blog that you can leave comments without registering(i hope). So please leave us a comment or two. We'd love to hear from everyone. Christmas is almost here! And Birthdays! Also Hayden's Birthday party will be the second weekend in January(99% sure!).
Merry Christmas to All.
PS..Only one month until Jessica's Birthday(yesterday)

Baaa Baaa

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with the Routh family. We had a lot of fun. The Aunties put together a Nativity Play. Hayden, Ben(2 1/2), Jacob (3), and Ethan (2) were the sheep. They stole the show. Everyone but Hayden came out crawling and baaing. Hayden was crawling, saw my mom and yelled "Nana, Nana". Then they all just wondered around the "stage" until the end. But they had everyone laughing so had. They were way too cute. Ethan, my cousin Nathan's son, is 9 days older than Hayden. They were playing and standing next to each other. Hayden was a whole head taller then Ethan, he only came up to Hayden's shoulders. It was funny, my baby looked like a giant. Ethan is just a peanut though, and so funny. He has the cutest personality ever. I asked him if he wanted to play, and he looked me right in the face and said "Noooooo." We all had a great day. It was so nice to see everyone it's hard to get the family together.

Poor Josh, he got attacked by sheep!
Ethan, Jacob(on Josh), Hayden, Ben

I have a little sheep and his name is Hayden. Baaa Baaa.

Toddlers gone wild

Last night we went to Park Point and walked around the christmas lights, at the Duluth's light contest winner. It's amazing. Its so elegant and almost simple. She only uses white and green lights. I don't know if it was the lights, water, or just being outside, but Hayden went wild. He was in hypermode. He ran through the whole place like 5 times. The pictures with the Imagine sign have a funny story. I parked him infront of the sign to take his picture. Thats the last picture. But everytime we went pass the sign, he'd stop and make me take his picture. I have 4 pictures. Then the previous picture, Hayden had to show Daddy how to pose for Mommy, and then i had to take his picture too. Silly Boy. It was great, i recommend everyone going up there and see the great lights.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone. I didn't know my mom's letter would bring so many visitors. Thanks for looking at our blog. We are glad that everyone can see how big Hayden was gotten over the last 2 years. We just started this last month, so take a look at the back blogs, there aren't too many. Happy Holidays.
Love The Smiths.

Wow! We had an awesome day! Hayden was in the best mood. We had so much fun. I love it when I can go a whole day without yelling at him, or punish him. It just makes life better. We had a blast. He was playful and helpful and very very loveable. He would just run up to be and say "BIG HUG" and then give me a hug. It just melts my heart. We went shopping for a few things and then went to OCB for dinner.(We like it there because he always eats! They have his fav, Corn Bread!) When we pulled up to the Mall he saw Barnes and Noble. Do you know what they have? Thomas the Train Table. He OF COURSE remembers this. So we told him if he was a good boy, we'd go there after dinner. He was a SUPER good boy at dinner. He ate mostly carrots!!?? Turkey, cornbread, and meatballs (other fav). For dessert he thought he wanted cheesecake, one bite of that was all he took. He's not a big fan of funny textures. So I got him an orange sherbet cone. Boy did he like that. Orange is his color of choice for everything, but it must of tasted good too! There was a baby next to us, and he kept trying to share with the baby. He was giggling up a storm, because we'd say "no gross!" So after we left he wanted to go to Hayden's House, we didn't get very far. We got in the car drove down 3 aisles and he spotted B&N. So in to the trains we went! He loves Trains! I just wanted to share a day where he was good. In the mix of all the days, the bad ones seem to stick the most. Today I truly enjoyed being the mother of a toddler, we had so much fun!

I took this last summer in Brainerd at Paul Bunyan Land.
I love the light in the pictures.

Boy had he grown up!

Wow! Here is Hayden exactly a year ago. Wasn't he sweet. Boy has that changed! Hayden has now learned a new great word. No. Its not just no its NO! A big forceful, NO MOM. When i tell him we don't tell Mama no he will say Mama, Mama, Mama, until i answer him, and then says NO. Stinker. Also he yells, Move, and Come Here. He is being a good little potty trainer. He woke up this morning and took off his diaper and went "Winky" on his potty chair right away. We are getting there. I haven't really tried pull ups or anything. I am waiting for him.
He talks all the time. Tonight we were driving past our house and i didn't stop or slow down or anything and Hayden said Bye Hayden's House and he also LOVES christmas lights. He does have one favorite house though. All it has is LED blue and green lights. But everytime we drive bye its Oh pretty lights. Every other house its just Oh Lights!
Hayden also misses Jessica very much. All morning along its Where's Jess. Where's Lissie. Poor kid. Its hard to tell him where they are. But Lisa is always working and Jessica is always at home. Everytime we see a beige colored SUV, its Lissie's car, Jess's car. Today we pulled up next to a rusted out old jimmy and he thought that was theirs too.
Today was Jacob's 3rd birthday. Hayden gave him a birthday smack. It was the first time at Angie's that he was naughty! We had a good talking to tonight. Hayden now knows that we dont hit. We don't take or break toys. And we don't push. Sorry Lisa but i think Hayden picked that up from Jessica!!!! Remeber when we use to talk about them picking things up from each other like crawling, Sitting, Standing, talkingm, and Walking! But i suppose they have to pick up those Two year old habits somewhere!!!! I am sure Jessica is walking around screaming "OW." That's what Hayden says whenever he doesn't like something. And Hayden yelled at Jessica a few times. He yells even if someone gets like too close to him, its awful. In the middle of Target, screaming ow isnt so cool. I swear people think i beat him or something right there in the store! Hayden misses Jessica so maybe that's his way of keeping her close to him!!! =) (But then again he could of gotten it straight from Jacob who i do recall did push him after my sweet innocent little son stole his train!) See Jessica is innocent! She is our princess. Kasie thinks that Princesses are perfect! She has a lot to teach my little prince! Here I included a picture from Jessica giving Hayden the first lesson in being perfect no stealing! Those were Jessica's crackers!
Well i hope everyone has a great week. Good Night!

Yes, A Picture

What is this, why its a professional picture. And he is smiling. Thank goodness, i have faith in him again. Boy did we have a fun time with Jessica today, her mom and dad too. We had such a lovely lady at Sears do the pictures, she was great. Can't say that about all their staff though. Manager gave me some issues, oh well. They played and played today. They both were so good. We took them to lunch and i was so suprised at how long and well they sat. Thanks to Grandma Sandmon for lunch. She really takes good care of us. Then Auntie Renee came over and played at our house too. We had yummy pizza and watched the kids play. They are so much fun to watch. They grow up so fast. Jessica is the cutest. She is a little mommy, she takes care of everyone. We had so much fun today. Hayden fell fast asleep in his new Elmo jammies from Auntie Lisa. He had pictures in those too, i'll post someday. We have the cutest kids in the whole world.

We Have Snow

Yesterday we finally got some snow that stayed. Boy does Hayden just love it. He keeps looking out the window and says "Snow, Snow, Snow." "Mama, Look snow on the window." We went out yesterday and played a little bit too. He liked walking up and down the little hill in our yard. He's a trooper. He loves to be outside, no matter how cold. Mom only lasted like 15 minutes. I can't help it i just get too cold. I took a few pictures. Have a great day.

Oh Pretty

We put up our Tree last night. Hayden loved it. He got out of the bath and walked into the living room where i had just put the lights on and said "Oh, Pretty." Then we put up the ornaments. He didnt really seem that impressed by putting them on the tree, oh well. He does like my IKEA ornaments. They are silver and gold balls. Thankfully they are just plastic. But he of course throws them, kicks them, and tries to play catch. I told Jason that we werent going to yell at him and tell him no about the tree we wanted him to enjoy it too. Yeah that lasted about 10 minutes. We are enjoying the tree from a distance now. He wants to water it every five minutes. He likes to "Help, Hayden Help." Last night we were at my mom and dad's and my mom was offering everyone cookies. She put the tray down and Hayden told her. "Nana, I wanna pick a coo coo too." He of course got to. He can't help but give me things when he's cute. Jason is off to the Cities for training for the week. I don't know what i am going to do with out him. We can't wait until next weekend. Hayden's favorite little buddy is coming to visit. Jessica. He is SO excited. We are going to go and TRY to get their pictures taken, again. But i think i will give up for a while if it doesnt work out. I hope everyone is all geared up for the Holiday Season we are. We can't wait. I just hope Hayden loves the Christmas season as much as i do. Have a great week everyone.

Almost the end of another week. Hayden was been so good this week. Such a change from when he was sick. He loves taking his medicine we call it his Alligator Juice. We have a medicine spoon shaped as an alligator. That really helps. We decided to go and get his pictures taken again. All week long i have been preparing him and posing him and telling him cheese and he makes the silliest little face at me. So i thought we'd have no problems up at Sears. Boy was i wrong. He was fine until an assistant came and sat down next to him. Then he cried, and cried, and screamed and cried. It was great fun. So again no pictures. If anyone has an ideas let me know. I am in need of pictures. He has found a new love. I have never let him watch TV before. No movies nothing. But when he was sick i bought him an Elmo DVD. Everyday sometimes twice we have to watch ELMO. Granted its not the worst in the world, but one can only take so much Elmo. He still plays but Elmo needs to be on in the background. We were up and Barnes and Noble yesterday and he LOVES the train table. So Mom and Dad are going to go talk to Santa. But my goodness Mom was looking on the internet, so many choices. But i am sure Santa will pick out the best one for Hayden. If Hayden is a good boy. Have a great Day.

I love to fiddle with my pictures and i really liked this one.

Sunday, November 26, 2006

Well we've recovered from another day. Sometimes it seems like you might not. Oh the joys of being two(well almost). We went out to lunch yesterday with Nana and Papa and Hayden was throwing food in a restaurant. I was so frustrated at him. But he knows know that we only throw balls. Yeah. But he had another crazy time in the water park. He loves to swim so much. He also went down to Macy's and walked through the 8th floor display. It was Mary Poppins this year and very good, as always. Hayden seemed to watch and look at everything. Then we went and saw Santa.

It of course ended with Hayden crying he wouldn't even shake his hand. Oh well. Maybe next year. Then we went down to the Lower Level and had dinner. My mom and I shared some dishes. One was tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Hayden saw those cherry tomatoes and wanted one so bad, he had a huge smile on his face before he put that fork in and then he chewed. I have never seen such an awful face. Out came the tomato and he actually quivered in disgust. He did not like it. It of course was kind of funny for the rest of us. We've been walking a bit in downtown Minneapolis and Hayden really seems to like riding in his stroller, there is so much to look at for him. Well i better go brace myself for another day with a two year old. Have a great day.

Having Fun!

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, we did. Had found his new love in life my aunt Marilyn's Buns. Everyone loves them, and now Hayden. On friday my mom and dad took us down the Cities for the weekend. We are staying at the Depot, they have a waterpark and ice skating rink and its very nice. The waterpark is perfect for Hayden its Train themed, Hayden even goes down the smaller slides by his self. He loves the water, and all ways has. He tries to take off in the pool. We ate at Andy's Garage last night and they have mini bowling bags filled with toys for the kids to take to the tables. I wish every place did. He loves to take things out of bags and had kid doesn't like toys?
If you ask Hayden where daddy is he says "Huntin" and then i ask him for what and he says "Buck" and then we ask did daddy get one? Hayden responds "mmm no" Sorry Daddy.
Well i better go rescue Hayden. Bye for now. Have a great weekend.

Our First Blog

I thought I would give Blogging a whirl. I feel so bad when i don't get people pictures and don't see people often enough, so here's a way i hopefully can pass on more info. Hayden has had a never ending flu since last wednesday. We just can't seem to get rid of it. So we went off to Dr. Billman today and he told us to just keep drinking. But Hayden can't have milk, his favorite by the way. He has to have soy milk. He is not fooled. He took one sip and said Milk? I feel bad but we just want him to be better. We went and tried(Again) to have his pictures taken, and it didn't work out to well. I think the next time we go in there everyone in Sears will runaway. However, that was the night he first got sick, so maybe he was just crabby, right? Also on Monday Hayden got his first haircut. He sat and cried on Mommy's lap until Julie at Trends, gave him the squirt bottle and then all was well, and wet. Daddy had a very wet jacket. Robin the stylist was very fast, and didnt cut off any curls for us. Just had a little trim, so it wasnt so wild, and it was wild. Here is a picture of all of this happening.

I will try and post something everyday or close to it. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
