I was talking to my mom yesterday telling her I had nothing really to blog about. We've all had colds and for almost 2 weeks and just trying to stay healthy! So that was going to be my exciting post until....

I was driving down 6th street with my mom and dad and saw a SWLP truck in front of our house, so we go over there and there is a water main break and we have a mini geyser coming up next to the house, the yard is flooded and we have a brown lake in the backyard. I go in and down in the basement and we had a waterfall coming down the basement wall, at a rather fast pace. The basement also had a pool in it. It was great! So all of this was discovered at about ten to three, the SWLP guy had been there since 2. I had left at 11:30 and nothing was wrong, i would of noticed, really. At 9:45 last night the water still hadn't stopped. We found out that the water shutoff wasn't where it was suppose to be, the one we have is from at least 1889(when it was mapped for the city could be a least 20 years older than that) and it was broken off the box or something. No other shut off was working. We had 6 SWLP people there at a time. They just couldn't figure it out. Jason had to open this morning and drove past at 4:00(we stayed at my moms, no water and jackhammering all night wasn't really worth staying at home for) and said the water had finally stopped and they only dug in the street, which hopefully means that SWLP will be paying for our damage, which isn't too bad, yet. Hopefully we'll get the water undercontrol outside of the house so it doesn't push on the basement wall. So so far we've been lucky. Let's pray it stays that way. And my house is a huge mud hole! We weren't really caring about the dirt and mud when running through the house but its going to need a really good cleaning or a visit from Servicemaster. There is a lot of water, sand, mud etc in the basement. So that was our exciting day thats happened in the last 2 weeks!

Now Hayden is watching Diego and is happy because my mom and dad had "daddy's kind of cereal" and we had a bowl.

I was labeling the post and put in Winter Fun because this is the epitome of "winter fun"

I'm not sure I would call that "winter Fun"... Renee
