Now for the fun! On Saturday Hayden and I went to the movies! I have never taken him to a movie other than the OmniMax. It was fun. On Saturday mornings our movie theater shows a children's movie at only $2.50 a head plus you get a free bag of popcorn. What a great idea. I didn't feel bad if Hayden was wiggling or being a tad loud, even though he wasn't. I highly recommend this to anyone! For only $2.50! I don't even know how much it is to go to a movie but i know its over $7.00 great deal! Hayden loved it too! We'll be going again. Also on Saturday it was beautiful outside so we got out the sand toys and played in the snow. We had fun! We also walked to the park since Hayden wants to go everyday. Its not as much fun as he thought. We also climbed a big snow mountain and Hayden slid down it like a little seal on his belly. Very Cute! We had lots of fun in the snow. I forget that it actually is fun to play outside in the winter!

Shoveling, Hayden's favorite winter past time. Oh just wait Hayden!

Hayden made this "zoo" at Angie's House. He was VERY proud of his masterpiece.

A week in the ordinary that's what i will call this blog post. Its funny how unordinary the ordinary can be. With a happy 3 year old, a fairly not busy mom and dad life can fall into place and a very short routine comes upon us. Anyone who knows us, knows that we are very busy people who don't have time for normal everyday schedules. So its very unusual the last two weeks, how nothing as come up, no places to go, no appointments. Everything just falls into place. We eat dinner on Monday at Mike and Rae Ann's. Dinner on Wednesday at East End Cafe. Of course we have done stuff but it all seems so ordinary. Jason had to go to Urgent Care for an eye infection, we watched Brandon for a few days while my mom was in Rochester, babysitter called in sick, but nothing threw us completely off. Has this just been a little Mid Winter slump or is it after 3 plus years we aren't startled by one of these ordinary events popping up in our lives. Its funny how much more smoothly life is when Hayden is happy and not in a "mood", and Jason isn't working really funky shifts.

Another week just flew past me and all week long I was COLD and in a funk. I wanted to go back to Texas. I think that it actually was a bad idea taking that short of a vacation because i wasn't ready to come home. Hayden kept telling me that he wanted to go back to Texas where it was warm. He loved the warmth as much as i did.
I have been planning Sarah's baby shower all week long and its today! I am more then ready which is great because I am not stressing over it. It should be fun! I have my cousin Christina's shower tomorrow too! Its Baby Shower Weekend. I haven't been to a shower in over a year. But i think thats all thats on the agenda for the weekend. Hopefully we'll get outside for some pictures. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Texas!

Well after many, many hours in the car we are home safe from Texas. We started off Tuesday night driving and night a MAJOR snowstorm, if not blizzard. It took us 5 hours to get from Des Moines to Kansas City. It should of taken 2 or 2.5. It was crazy and we saw many semis and cars in the ditch. It was very nerve wrecking and i wanted to vomit. After nobody slept that night we drove on to Houston arriving around 9 on Wednesday. Hayden was SUPER good the way down. He is such a good traveler. Just like the Buffalo.(Wink) Michael and Laura meet us at our hotel in The Woodlands 9 exits away from their apartment. We were meet with 50 degree weather but still ventured out to the hot tub that night.

Thursday we all woke up after sleeping like babies and went and saw Michael and Laura's apartment. Then we went to the Houston Port for a boat tour on the Sam Houston and lunch at Sonic, a Southern Staple. We went and played Mini Golf, go carting, and arcade games about a mile from Michael and Laura's place. I have just let everyone know that i kicked everyone's butt at golf! We then wanted Mexican food so we drove down the Interstate past 1000 Mexican restaurants before randomly picking one. Hayden fell asleep and slept through out dinner. We all had a great time with yummy warm salsa, big margaritas, and great food. Cheap too! I had the greatest Mushroom and spinach enchiladas. I need to find a recipe. Oh yeah the temp was right around 75 and perfect out!

Friday was spent at the beach in Galveston. It was the perfect day. Warm, sunny with a nice warm breeze. Hayden had the time of his life jumping in the ocean into the waves and throwing seashells and rocks. It was just awesome! We ate at Casey's Cafe and had yummy fresh seafood.
Saturday we went swimming and to the Children's Museum before heading home a little earlier then played. Some little 3 year old was cranky! It was fun and sad to say good bye to Michael and Laura.

Goodness it was cold on the way home. It was beyond cold. I froze the whole way home in the car with 2 pairs of socks, sweatshirts, and lots of blankets. Yuck! I want to go back already!
